Current Work Mission and Description:
PEAS Consulting helps establish community farm operations based on a successful community food initiative in Missoula, Montana between the University of Montana's Program in Ecological Agriculture and Society (PEAS) and local nonprofit groups. I produced a broadcast quality film of the PEAS operation that conveys its underlying values. I presented the film to several communities and a number of audiences around the country. I am responsible for the conception of a campus farm planned for James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia: a partnership between the university and a local "green" hospital. My long-term goal is to help establish college campus and/or community farms throughout the nation. I completed a certificate in Ecological Horticulture from the University of California, Santa Cruz, September, 2006. In 2007, I worked as a farmer for a non-profit organization devoted to supporting sustainability on the island of Kauai. In 2008, I will be a farm manager at an educational/community farm associated with Montana State University; and I will continue to spread the word about the virtues of campus farms by mailing the documentary to interested groups.

I am responsible for the conception of a campus farm planned for James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia: a partnership between the university and a local "green" hospital. Another example: Montana State University used my documentary in their visioniong process for their campus farm, and used it to inspire financial support from the unversity.
