- I am currently working on Environmental Justice Folk Song-writing Project, tentatively titled 'This Land is Our Land.' The project uses the power of song to inform people of current environmental and social justice struggles and inspire actions toward human equality.
The Mission of 'This Land is Our Land,' is to express people’s history and struggle through song-stories which inspire listeners to become aware of and active in the struggle for social and environmental justice.
- Mentoring Expertise Offered:
- I've been producing and performing folk music for the past decade, and greatly enjoy the experience of sharing song with all sorts of audiences. This summer I finished my Masters Degree in Environmental Studies at The University of Pennsylvania, where my focus was Education and Outreach. My Masters thesis looked at the use of song accompanying social justice movements in U.S. History, and how music and art are integral in changing our social paradigms.

- Hi Josh - I hear you might be spending some time in West Virginia this Fall. If you're in the neighborhood, please give a shout my way. I'll be based on Fayetteville but also spending time a bit further southwest in the hills. I am so inspired by mountain music and would love to know who and where you'll be doing your recording. After all the singing on the recent Wild Gift float, I recently dusted off my old guitar and have been practicing the 5 chords I once knew at every opportunity. Your Wild Gift project sounds awesome.
