Mission, Goals, and Results
The mission of Grow is to publish a book, which raises public awareness on the nature and effects of urban sprawl, as well as the perspectives of the issue’s many stakeholders by September 30th, 2007. In the succeeding year, Grow will measure the book’s impact on citizen behavior in two test communities. Grow’s purpose is to be a useful and engaging tool for evolving the way people think about urban sprawl, creating informed citizens who are inspired to take action to preserve the unique character, quality of community, and purity of wildness in the places they call home. Gina’s personal goal is to inspire her readers to make conscious choices that will create the kind of change they want to see around them. As her book’s influence spreads, she will welcome opportunities to expand its reach.
