The goal of the North American Odyssey is to empower students and people of all ages to make changes in their lives that will protect the world’s remaining forests and combat global climate change. I will spread this message while traveling 11,000 miles across North America by kayak, canoe, and dogsled.
Students will be able to participate virtually via an educational online program, highlighting the importance of learning through exploration and introducing them to the plants, animals, and people of the wildest remaining places in North America.
Mentoring Expertise Offered:
I can offer assistance and advice related to camping, kayaking, canoeing, dogsledding, cross country skiing, and spending long periods of time in the wildrness.
I have some experience with coordinating sponsorships with gear companies.
Hey Amy! I heard rumors that you might have been boating in or near my West Virginia home -- I would love to connect if you might be still in the area or returning sometime soon. Recently, the executive director from the National Committee for the New River boated the New from the source to the confluence with the Kanawha. I met up to raft with them their last day down the New River Gorge. I mentioned your upcoming journey and they seemed excited to improve their educational tools.
I look forward to following your adventures online!
